It's been awhile since I've done one of these, so I figured I'd pop in today with some winter-inspired "Terrific Things"! Y'all ready? Okie dokie! Let's dive right in! 1) Crocheted Snowflakes: As if going to Michael's and NOT spending my entire paycheck on yarn wasn't hard enough . . . these fairly "floated" into my Pinterest feed the other day! I suddenly NEED more yarn. Don't ask why. I just do. Moving on . . . 2) Ways to Spice up your Hot Chocolate: Who doesn't love hot chocolate!? Like, tell me if you don't, but I've never met a person that doesn't like a rich, delicious cup of steaming hot chocolate. If you ARE a cocoa fan, however. This is for you: 3) May Your Days Be Merry and Bright Art: I love this idea! Plus, it seems like it'd be a VERY simple afternoon craft. What's not to like!? 4) This Card: It's winter, which in most places that means it's cold. So you're probably spending more time indoors. Don't waste all that time watching Gilmore Girls! Write someone you care about a note . . . maybe on this awesome Gilmore Girls notecard!! ;D 5) Beautiful Paper Snowflakes! More snowflakes? Why yes, indeed! I think that these are super fun! Find out how to make them here. I am going to follow this tutorial meticulously, because I have never ever made any homemade snowflakes that look anything like this. If you do, maybe you could post your pics in the comments and let me know this is possible. You may never see mine . . . I think that's all the Terrific Things this Tuesday can handle!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post! Let me know what you thought of it in the comments! I hope y'all have a Terrific Tuesday! Love, Olivia It's the first Sunday of December, and to go along with the Christmas season, all of my posts on Sunday throughout December will have Christmas songs! And, Christmas related Bible Verses! :D Here's today's: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:14 I heard the bells on Christmas day Their old familiar carols play And mild and sweet their songs repeat Of peace on earth, goodwill to men And the bells are ringing (Peace on earth) Like a choir they're singing (Peace on earth) In my heart I hear them (Peace on earth) Peace on earth, goodwill to men And in despair I bowed my head There is no peace on earth I said For hate is strong and mocks the song Of peace on earth, goodwill to men But the bells are ringing (Peace on earth) Like a choir singing (Peace on earth) Does anybody hear them? (Peace on earth) Peace on earth, goodwill to men Then rang the bells more loud and deep God is not dead, nor doth He sleep (Peace on earth, peace on earth) The wrong shall fail, the right prevail With peace on earth, goodwill to men Then ringing singing on its way The world revolved from night to day A voice, a chime, a chant sublime Of peace on earth, goodwill to men And the bells, they're ringing (Peace on earth) Like a choir they're singing (Peace on earth) And with our hearts we'll hear them (Peace on earth) Peace on earth, goodwill to men Do you hear the bells, they're ringing? (Peace on earth) The life the angels singing (Peace on earth) Open up your heart and hear them (Peace on earth) Peace on earth, goodwill to men Peace on earth, peace on earth Peace on earth, goodwill to men Happy Sunday y'all!!
Love, Olivia Happy December, y'all! The Christmas season is now upon us, and in the midst of all things Santa and shopping I think it's INCREDIBLY important to remember what the true reason for the season is! I stumbled upon this video on Facebook after a friend of mine shared it, and I think it perfectly depicts the real reason for this season. It's about the birth of Christ. It's also about the ultimate sacrifice that baby would make for me, and for you, and for everyone else on this planet. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV I hope you enjoyed the video! Let me know what you thought of it in the comments below! :D
Have an awesome day and a wonderful Christmas Season! Love, Olivia Hi, my name is Olivia, and I'm an EOS lip balm addict . . . There, they do say confession is good for the soul. I feel better already. I will feel even better with an application of my favorite lip balm. Ha! Honestly though, I LOVE EOS products and have yet to find one I don't like. This is what my nightstand looks like at the moment:
But, the very best thing about Evolution of Smooth products is that they are ALL Gluten Free! As I said before, I haven't found a product from EOS I don't like. From their Sweet Mint to the Blueberry Acai, all of the lip balms are awesome, and they seem to last FOREVER! That's all the gushing I can do over EOS today! Y'all should seriously check them out!!
As usual, ALL opinions expressed in this blog post are my own . . . EOS has no clue who I am. (However, Christmas is coming up, and EOS would be a fantastic stocking stuffer!) Have a GRAND day! Love, Olivia (P.S. Don't forget to enter my giveaway for Foster Farms Gluten Free Corn Dogs! You can find that here.) Halloween is over, and there are a couple more big holidays rapidly approaching. Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, and Christmas is right around the corner. Today we're going to look into some cute decorations for both of those holidays, AND I'll announce the theme for my Christmas tree (cause I'm weird like that and switch it up every year). Are y'all ready? Let's get on with it, shall we? 1) Glitter Leaves: What happens when you add together Real Leaves from a Real Tree and Glitter!? An adorable decoration that could EASILY be a statement piece on the wall of your dining room for Thanksgiving Dinner. I'd hang cute little tags from them for people to write things they're thankful for on them. 2) Leaf-Lined Mason Jars: These would be great centerpieces with tea lights inside of the jars. I'd use fake leaves, I think they'd adhere better to the mason jars. Okie dokie . . . are y'all ready for my Christmas tree theme? Wanna guess first? Never mind, I'll just go ahead and tell y'all anyway . . . The Nutcracker! From Snowflakes to Sugar Plum Fairies, I'll be designing the Nutcracker tree to end all Nutcracker trees! ;) 3) The Flowers: These don't have a tutorial, but I think I could maybe figure something out. Actually, I will have to figure something out, because I love these little ornaments. I guess I'll have to learn to do some embroidery soon, huh? 4) Nutcracker Paper Doll Ornaments: These add just a wee bit of whimsy. Sarah Jane Studios did a fantastic job with them. I think they're precious! 5) No Sew Ombre Ruffle Tree Skirt: Is it even a Christmas Tree without an adorable tree skirt? I think not. Lol. I want to make mine in pink, and I will definitely have to modify the pattern for my bitty little four foot tree, but I think it will TOTALLY be worth it! 6) Tulle Trees: Y'all!! These are the perfect combo of ballet and Christmas. I think I'll make them for my nightstands to add an additional festive feel to my bedroom this Christmas Season! Now, my only decision to make is whether or not I want the trees to be solid pink. I think these would be precious in a pink and green alternating stripe too! ;) That's all of the Terrific Things for this Tuesday!
Do y'all have a theme for your Christmas Trees? Let me know in the comments below! I'd love to hear about y'all's Christmas Decorations! :D Want more holiday inspiration? Check out my Pinterest Boards! Have a great afternoon, y'all! Love, Olivia |
